It was a nice day Saturday, we got some of the wood split and stacked that was delivered right before the storm. But snow started to fall Saturday evening and continued through Sunday morning. That made it a day to get the house cleaned up for Christmas and organize the indoors. There is always something to do!
Also loaded all of the feeders for the coming few weeks with a trip to the feed store. Got really angry at them! We buy huge amounts of feed from them and no one even recognizes that we have been there before! Today I wanted two bales of straw to put more dry bedding down for Daisy and her calf. Turns out all of their straw is wet, moldy and heating up!!! When I refused to take a wet moldy bale they climbed way in the back to get something resembling dry which was OK. However I stopped back in at the desk and mentioned that if they were perhaps going to discount the bad straw could I leave my name and number to pick up some for garden compost and I got read the riot act!!!! They said they don’t do such stuff and if I wanted any special consideration to call the manager on Tuesday. Welllll OK, hope their place doesn’t catch fire from the composting straw up against all of their hay by then!!! We’ve decided to travel the extra 15 miles to Elma for feed from now on.
Tractor Supply bought out this store and it’s never been the same, sigh….
Thanks for information.
many interesting things
